Here is something that will smack you! It consists of a tape loop played on my Roberts 192FT tape recorder, featuring a children’s song about safety. The artist is Frank Luther, who recorded nursery rhymes and children’s songs and stories throughout the 1940s and mid-1950s. I have intentionally made this too long. That’s where the “torture” comes to mind.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackback“walk[ing] up to any policeman” might get you a cap in the stamper these days, or worse the nypd rotorooter treatment.
So I give the kind police man, the very first one I meet, both hot and cold water? What does he need it for? Do I need to point out which is which or can he use some sort of “crime-fighting” mental powers and deduce this on his or her own?
Lol…torture!! Try listening to this and “I have Easy off” simutaneously. That was a strange experience.. it conjured black & white visions of easy-bake ovens… mittens… martial law and water-boarding?!
Thanks! 🙂

What album/record/compilation/? is the song “Water – Hot & Cold Torture” – Negativland from and what year was it released? I’d appreciate any information you can share about this song. Thanks!
George
My son just found this LP in a “free” bin. It has a nice warp to it, causing the tonearm to jump in time with the music on the outer track of the first side. The water torture track plays nicely.
