That weird music in the beginning of that Sid Davis driving film was by Louis Barron, an early electronic music pioneer.
I used that very clip in one of my radio shows a few months back.

I give up. Other than The Dick Vaughn Show, I can’t think of any other Negativland things with porn sounds. I think there’s a nano-second of porn on the No Other Possibility VHS tape, though.

I suddenly remember segments where the weatherman is trying to find a tape of something — I think it is family recordings he’s searching for, but I can’t remember for sure — and he keeps playing porn movie sounds instead… but I can’t remember which release it’s from — Maybe just heard it on OTE – He kept saying, “woops, that’s the wrong tape” etc.
Weatherman! Ram me! Ram me with your obsolete Mercury Monarch! But be careful! I wouldn’t want sexdirt to happen! For being mysophobic, you sure are a pig 🙂

I’m guess the screeching tires are from that song on “Free” that my made my wife cry. ‘we are driven’ isn’t it? That is a masterpiece, by the way. Brutal.
I can’t wait any longer.It appears Rich and Processedbeef got it right by saying “The Playboy Channel” which is from the album “Escape From Noise.” My next post will be the entire unedited recording that was used as source material for “The Playboy Channel.”
