This commercial was purchased online by Richard Lyons. I captured the 16-millimeter film using my telecine projector and my Sony DCR-HC1000 3-CCD MiniDV Digital Handycam Camcorder.

You’re right. After all, I do spend a lot of time watching television (mostly CBS, KIRO-TV, channel 7 in Seattle). To me the most irritating commercial now is for Volkswagen and this song “My Hero Zero” and it’s stuck in my head, as well. Just the way the words are sung “hee-ro” and “zee-ro” is starting to get to me. I’m sure now you probably think I’m out of my mind! Maybe blank stares are in order, as Richard would say.
Oh no no, I agree with you. I’m not a fan of getting corny songs like that stuck in my head. When I worked at Toys R Us, it was a torture building for my ears. Everyday when I’d return home, some corny kid song would run through my mind. Oh how I hated it! Christmas was the worst too. I was drowning in a sea of badly sung music that grocery stores or stores in general were allowed to play.
But yeah, thinking you’re out of your mind? Never, good sir.
Thinking you’re a good person who was part of a good band that inspired others to create, as well as having a huge fan base to this day, and many others after? Yeah, that I do think.
I wish you well, David.
Thank you, but I guess I’m just a little too dumb! Thinking of dumb, watch this.
You’re welcome. I think we’re all a little too dumb for our own good 🙂
