This was from my favorite record shop in Berkeley, California and it shows someone (probably me) had just purchased some electronic music. It looks like it was “Cords” by Synergy.

I also recently found his 1975 album ‘Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra’ at the Goodwill on what looks like an early-issue CD. The CD case looked sort of nicotine stained, but the CD was in really good shape.
I love Larry Fast’s music, especially the work he did with Peter Gabriel in the late seventies.
I’m a sucker for all those symphonic keyboard players (Wendy Carlos, Vangelis, Tomita, Jarre, etc.).
Who DOESN’T have that album ?!! That record cover is one of my earliest childhood memories; it was one of the more noticeable ones in my dad’s record collection. My dad loved Gabriel too, and Steve Hackett — Oh yeah! and we had the Alan Parson’s record with “Eye in the Sky”
Back then my dad was taking electronic music classes at city college and listening to Over the Edge! The traditions continue…
i was just driving past the old building on hearst street and was remembering out loud about hanging out on northside. rather ripped. the 3c’s cafe. i used to hang out there with artfoot. you may remember him from the band ‘fake stone age’.
Around 15 years ago there was a local girl band called Synergy who couldn’t dance all that well and weren’t exactly very good vocally either. They beat my band in the Castlemilk Youth Complex Battle of the Bands final. Here is video evidence of it happening..
