I guess this is sort of a tribute to my favorite brand of shampoo. In particular there is a recording I made from the late 1970s or early 1980s featuring me making noises with a tube (or bottle as I prefer to call it) of Prell Concentrate.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThat’s pretty cool! I had no idea that Prell was still around or that it made so much noise!
Nice recording, too!
I love weird, off-brand or old product lines.
i have not heard a sound like that since betty crocker(tm) discontinued beef romanoff hamburger helper(tm).
from what is left of my memory of the 70s’i can assure you prell makes one hell of a rigid shampoo horn.
That sounds like a Preparation H tube to me.
i don’t mean to derail the topic, but there is no “post anything here” section, and there is an unwarranted lull in posting, so-
about the background color:
1. caucasian vaginal pink
2. diluted pepto-bismol
3. anemic salmon
what’s it called?
the act-up sticker on my guitar case has sun bleached to a similar shade after 20 years.
Did you record from the outside microphones on the 4th of July? The scanner must have been active too….
I remember my grandmother using Prell concentrate back about the same time as this recording. I just played this for my mother and we both had a good laugh!
Prell was the shampoo “the pros” used!
Thank you for the comments and I know this may seem strange, but I can assure you it was NOT Preparation H.
I remember an episode of “Maude” wherein Bea Arthur rubbed Preparation H. liberally under her eyes.
“Haemorrhoid”. It doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
I mean, sound very appetizing.
