Thank you for posting the enlargement of the forlorn loaf of bread. That brought back a childhood memory that was lost to the ether.
A closer look reveals a gaping exit-wound in his abdomen! Perhaps shot point-blank in the stamper? Eat too many Simplot™ potatoes? Maybe the extra battery for his vaping rig exploded? We might never know.

I think what you meant to say was thanks for….well, just thanks for the good thoughts.
Don’t you kid yourself.
My mom still has the Oneida silverware with the pattern shown on the spoon and the mid-70s Corning dishes with the blue flower pattern and they are all still in use to this day. Artifacts of my late 80s/early 90s childhood!
Fascinating contemporary archaeology. Delivers a lot about society (who is pictured -mostly white women- and who is not), aesthetics, and communication.
These are absolutely beautiful. I appreciate the “difficult science for the layman” approach in creating demand for toast-heating accuracy.
And I’d like to comment on the heavy sensuality of the Hamilton Beach electric knife, but I can’t get past that guy’s shirt(body?) being god damn HUGE… and that woman is either going to carve through (1) her left arm, or (2) the massive void created by her as-huge-as-guy’s-shirt wig(real hair?).
In any case, I am fully turgid right now. Thanx Dave!

Didn’t I say that?
No, Art, that was me.
