I think I recorded this in 1973 on my Norelco model 1530 cassette recorder and it can also be heard on the second Negativland album “Points.”

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbacki am reliving the moment of total disbelief after opening a kazoo and realizing the flimzy waxpaper wafer was truely making that captivating sound. i still can’t accept it.
I just want to know where that field is you recorded this and the other “field recordings.” Contra Costa and Alameda counties are quickly running out of fields. I know of a few fields around Lafayette. Perhaps it was there?
I think I was inside the laundry room at my house in Martinez, California with the bee fly.
