Here is what happened to a religious TV station earlier this year. I recorded this on April 13th, 2008, but I noticed this channel (CH. 58) was doing this for nearly a month earlier, continuously. Also, it kept it up for several weeks after April 13th. I’m sure the reception was clearer than what was recorded. I simply attached rabbit ears to my computer with an ATI 8500 All-in-Wonder video card and recorded MPEG2 video. I wonder why they left this video on so long or if they simply didn’t care. It looks like some sort of a digital loop. Also this post is a test to see how well the video can be played or downloaded. On my computer the clickable link will play on my Firefox browser when the VLC media plug-in has been installed. If that has been done correctly when you click the link a new browser will open. A black blank page and the words “no video” will appear. Then the video should play. The other options are Flash video and Windows Media. Bear with me, I’ve got alot to learn. You can probably tell my typing, spelling and grammar are not that great. Have fun, comments welcome.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThat is endless entertainment right there. Your spelling and grammar are also fine at the moment. Everything seems to be clear and legible as well as spelled correctly.
Dear Weatherman.
This “Beebuh” thing wont play on my competer. It first sent me to Quicktime for possible updates, but I have no idea what among the updates listed there I need for this. As usual, nobody is explaining anything. What the Hell unknown configurations are you exposing us to here? I am a Mac OSX10. Your other eccentric audio/video plays Ok. What’s missing?
Mr. Edge
PS “Beebuh” NEVER stops loading on my competer.
That’s the best sermon Hagee’s ever given!
Inspirational!
I have the same problems as Mr. Edge, and my Firefox and VLC are up to date. It keeps loading what looks to be an audio clip over and over, but when I hit “play” there is no sound. No video, either. Also, the page layout of your entry is weird and not immediately easy to know what the options are, and with a lot of blank space. I sure wish you would simply go back to just using QUICKTIME. After all this work to make this site for you, I can’t even watch or hear what you are posting on it!
So keep trying, and let’s be sure the W.D.S.H.P. goes back to being user friendly.
I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.16 with the VLC plugin on Windows XP and I’m not having any problem with viewing the video. Beebuh!
I just downloaded it and played it in my favorite media player. I don’t trust browsers to play media much for the same reason I don’t trust Walmart for Compact Disc Recordings.
Try the Flash video. I just put it up. I’m holding off on Quicktime for the moment because of the way it loads on the page. Quicktime starts loading the video before “play†is clicked and that appears to slow the page loading. The other ways of playing the video seem to be doing this less or not at all. I’m treating this post as an experiment and a learning experience. I understand some of you are unable to see the video and I will continue to work on correcting the problem.
Flash, in general, is a good idea because of it’s multi-platform ability through different operating systems and ability to work on multiple browsers. By the way, I thought I was the only person left in the world who still uses the ATI TV Wonder cards.
As far as Windows Media: no. Windows Media is so incompatible with most operating systems (even Windows). If you can even get the embedded file to play in a browser, you probably have to wait for the entire clip to cache which could be disastrous if it is quite a long clip.
Beebah Beebah Beebah. . . you know, it’s got a nice beat. Could be made into a song, I think. You’ve got a good beginning. Hit and miss and trial and error. It just depends again on breaking the records over radio.
Worked for me, but only after I downloaded the link and played it separately in VLC.
Quicktime didn’t know what to do with it – either in the browser or loaded directly into the application.
I’m using Firefox 3 on a Mac.
I ended up watching it at work on my lunchbreak and nearly sprayed my screen with chewed up carrots, it was so funny!
MacOSX10 = headaches.
give up
no problems with firefox + PC
I thought it was Beevuh Beevuh Beevuh
Thank you everyone for commenting! Keep them coming. This is all helping me to learn more about media players and what works and doesn’t work.
“Beebuh” would be a lot better than our local religious station, KIDA Sun Valley, Idaho. All it’s broadcasting is a black screen with no sound. I think it’s because they were broadcasting anti-Mormon propaganda. Not a good idea in this area. I go to that shack every month to read my transmitters and their’s is just sitting there with nothing on it …. 2,500 watts …. VHF channel 5 …. GOD SAVE ME FROM TEMPTATION!
It’s especially funny because it’s Pastor John Hagee, John McCain’s ‘spiritual advisor’, famous for his anti-semitic rhetoric.
Pal Jim Larrance of No Soap Radio fame did a hilarious cut-up of him called ‘God in a Linoleum Roll’.
It’s about time that Haggee said something intelligent!
