Lately, I’ve been having dreams where I can hear similar sounds. I made this entirely in my computer using VST plug-ins.
I made the video using a Winamp visualization that is a little like an old analog television having very bad reception problems.

If you ever hear a ratcheting sound that leans toward the subsonic, that’s probably Room 404. When you made that post about the electromagnetic phenomena in your house, I was in hospital [NAME REDACTED] Room 404. There, I was being treated for pancreatitis and was on a morphine drip, when I had experienced an out-of-body experience that involved floating up to the edge of space and also hearing a multitude of voices. Suddenly, I recognized one of the voices as that of The Weatherman. Maybe I was tuned-in somehow to the electromagnetic phenomena in The Weatherman’s house. The actual, physical ratcheting sound (not hallucinated) in Room 404 is probably the infrasound produced by antique elevator machinery in a utility closet nearby to Room 404.
There used to be a program on KBOO Thursday nights ~15-20 years ago called “A Different Nature” that used to specialise in noise and musique concrete-type things like this. In high school it was my introduction to MC and others like Philip Glass. The original host died in the late 2000s and that was the beginning of its end. The show is still on but it’s gone down the toilet and no longer focuses on the cool stuff.
